FightBox KOK World Grand Prix in Riga, Latvia - LIVE on May 22nd at 7:00pm

For the first time ever in Latvia, King of Kings, Europe’s biggest kickboxing promotion, comes to the nation’s capital of Riga. In addition to the super fights and other incredible bouts, top fighters from all over the world will compete in the much anticipated Welterweight Grand Prix Tournament.

 

The excitement for this event has been building since March 31st when an official press conference was held, chaired by Donatas Simanaitis, head of the International Bushido Federation, when it was announced then that the best fighters from 11 different countries would be participating in what should be the biggest event ever in Latvia. The main event of the evening will be a four-man welterweight (-77 kg) tournament. The two semifinal matches consist of local favorite Eugeny Alekseev of Latvia taking on Rain Karkinen of neighboring Estonia and on the other side, Piotr Woznicki of Poland will face Sergei Morari of Moldova. Also, Sergey Kopachev and Roman Zibin will clash in a reserve bout.

 

Altogether there will be 14 fights with live action starting at 7:00pm Central European Time (8:00pm in Latvia) on FightBox HD. All fights are to be held under KOK kickboxing rules. The full card for the event can be found below.
