KOK Classic 4 - LIVE from Lithuania 26.09.2020

FightBox is proud to announce that King of Kings, one of the most recognizable brands of kickboxing, will return to live action from Lithuania on Saturday December 12th 2020 starting at 6:00 pm CET (7:00 pm in Lithuania).

As many fighting events around the world continue to be postponed or cancelled, KOK somehow finds a way to succeed despite the COVID-19 regulations limiting combat sports. This could most likely be the last KOK event of the year, and it is also the fourth event in the “KOK Classic” series, which has come to define the COVID-19 era of events for the promotion, which generally are spotlighting local fighters and younger talent.

The main event of the evening features a bout for the KOK Interim Featherweight Championship between Lukasz Leczycki and Matas Pultarazinskas. It was recently announced the KOK Featherweight Champion Pok Biil has signed a contract to compete for the Lion Fight promotion. According to the KOK regulations, this should mean that Biil will be stripped of the title. However, no formal announcement has been made yet.

In the meantime, two of KOK’s top featherweights will compete for the Interim Championship. Leczycki has proven he will fight anyone, anywhere at any time, even accepting a boxing match against Lithuania’s top boxer Evaldas Petrauskas earlier this year. Pultarazinskas has been embroiled in a long feud with “Rimkenzo” for over a year, but the fight has yet to come to fruition. Saturday’s title fight will actually be a rematch between the two fighters, as the last time they crossed paths the fight was ruled a draw.

Another fight to keep an eye on is at -73 kilos when Poland’s Daniel Szott takes on former KOK lightweight title contender Mindaugas Narauskas. Szott went to a draw with KOK superstar Dovydas Rimkus, a fight which many people feel should have been ruled in his favor. Narauskas came close to capturing the lightweight title last year and is now looking to improve his ranking and get himself back into title contention. The full fight card for the evening can be found below.
