FightBox is proud to announce that Colosseum Tournament, Romania’s biggest kickboxing promotion, will be live from Videle, Romania on Friday August 28th starting at 7:00 pm CEST (8:00 pm local time).

Colosseum Tournament Kickboxing is set to host its first live event since the COVID-19 outbreak. The promotion’s last event, Colosseum Tournament XVII, took place in December of 2019. The card features some familiar faces and some hungry fighters who are for sure itching to get back into the ring.

The main event features Alexandru “Sandu” Lungu, the +160 kg living legend of Romanian MMA and kickboxing. Last year Lungu became the second inductee into the Colosseum Tournament Hall of Fame. Now the Romanian superheavyweight will square off against Hajdu Tamas. Lungu has a hard time finding opponents who are tough enough to fight him. Tamas has the guts, but does he have the ability to destroy the massive Lungu?

Also on the card is a matchup featuring two of the country’s best -81 kg fighters. Flavius Boiciuc will face Adelin Mihaila in a fight that has the potential to steal the show. Boiciuc is known for being an intelligent, patient and technical fighter. Mihaila has been involved in some of the most amazing wars in Colosseum Tournament history. Which style will prevail?
